About HEC
As a highly organized systems thinker and operational strategist, Meredith Herrera is adept at communicating vision and building consensus between diverse stakeholder groups. She brings nearly 20 years of diverse experience working with young people and adults, and has a Masters of Education in Human Development focused in School Counseling. She is skilled in strategic planning, personnel coaching, communication management, and professional development, and has served as a senior administrator in several schools.
Now, as a consultant, Meredith works with schools to co-create transformative environments and systems that promote equity, belonging, and community. Promoting the holistic wellness of students and educators is at the heart of the work and is guided by a bias towards action, data, and equity design.
A modern approach
At HEC, clients receive implementation plans that are data driven, actionable, scalable, and that embody organizational values. Additionally, we are uniquely committed to equity design methodology. In an equity design approach, specific attention is paid to identifying and subsequently dismantling historically oppressive practices and/or systems to be replaced by more culturally responsive and inclusive programs and structures.
